Weather

Weather conditions, and prevailing wind in particularly, is the key to a successful flight. Before setting off to you favourite slope soaring venue, check that the weather conditions are suitable. To gain lift from a slope, you will need the wind to be blowing towards, and therefore up the face of the hill.

The strength of wind required will depend on the size and weight of your glider, and judgement of this will come with experience.
